My love of reading began at my 3rd grade book fair when my Media Specialist encouraged me to buy Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Once I read that book I was HOOKED!

I have a wonderful husband and two brilliant and beautiful daughters. I have three nephews and one niece that I adore. We have two dogs, a six-year Goldador name Granger and a Golden Retriever puppy name Gryffindor! (Gryffie for short!)

(Yes, they are both named from Harry Potter.) 

I graduated from Georgia Southern with my Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art/Photography back in 2012. After graduation I worked in the corporate world for a couple of years before quickly realizing that I wasn't doing what I was created to do. I decided to return to Georgia Southern for graduate school to get my Masters of Education in Instructional Technology with a concentration in School Library Media.

I love Baker Place and can't wait to help every student fall in love with reading, become successful and ethical users of technology and to have the most fun possible in the Learning Commons!
