Principal's Message

Welcome to Baker Place Elementary, home of the Eagles!

At Baker Place, our mission is “Empowering students to be lifelong learners and citizens of outstanding character in a changing world”.  We believe every child has the ability to succeed in a supportive and encouraging environment.  Our dedicated teachers and staff work together with families to ensure that students are not only achieving academically, but also developing the character and confidence they need to thrive in life.

We are proud to be a PBIS school, where our Eagles learn to S.O.A.R each day by showing Self-Control, Ownership, having an Awesome Attitude, and showing Respect.  These expectations guide our students in the classroom, on the playground, and beyond, helping them to become responsible citizens and caring friends.

As Eagles, we take pride in our school community.  We celebrate kindness and perseverance, while also encouraging students to reach new heights in all that they do.
Thank you for partnering with us in your child’s educational journey.  Together, we can help our students SOAR to success!

With Eagle Pride,
Sean Prouty

New Parent Communication App! Join Parent Square!

Dear Eagle Families,

Columbia County Schools will be transitioning away from Remind to Parent Square! Parent Square offers several new and exciting communication features and is a one-stop-shop!

You should have received an email registration link. If not, you can sign up directly on the Parent Square website or via the app by using the email address listed in Infinite Campus. Your account will automatically connect to your students in the District.

Remind messaging will begin phasing out mid-April, and we want to ensure that everyone stays informed.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation as we make this important transition!
